Safety

  • Seat belts for each seat, as client’s option and a minimum of two means of egress (located on opposite sides  of the vehicle)
  • Emergency contact numbers prominently displayed inside the vehicle.
  • An appropriate current licence for the class of vehicle being driven.
  • Semi-annual driver training programs conducted for the type of vehicle to be operated. (topics include safe  driving, defensive driving and emergency operations).

  • Fire extinguisher and first aid kit in each vehicle with periodic inspection program and validity.
  • Fuel system maintained as per recommendations of manufacturer & Local transport authorities to prevent  fires.

DO’s 

  • Ensure your mobile is always charged at least 60 minutes before you board the vehicle
  • Save the numbers of the transport helpline as well as senior team managers in your cell phone on  speed-dial mode.
  • Stop only at the destination specified in the roistering sheet
  • Refrain from traveling alone in a vehicle and be alert to any change in route.
  • If the identity of a co-commuter is suspect, request him to display the I-Card. If the I card is not  available, report the matter to the authorities immediately.
  • While travelling ensure that all doors are locked from inside
  • Do not permit any outsider to board the vehicle under any circumstances. If you want to help  someone involved in a road accident, call 100 or the office transport helpdesk.
  • If there is no security escort for a female employee if she is the first to board or last to disembark.

Ensure that a security guard accompanies a female employee commuting alone. 

  • Inform Travel desk in case you find Transport personnel under the influence of alcohol
  • Inform Travel Desk in as case of Over-speeding by cabs
  • Inform Travel Desk if unscheduled breaks by the driver for refueling /picking up friends etc
  • Inform Travel Desk if Vehicle breakdown

Inform Travel Desk if Driver communicating (Suspicious) on the mobile while driving, In case, there  is any

Suspicious movement observed, you need to call and provide location & cab no. to Police Control  Room or send SMS to Travel desk no /relatives /friends to inform Police Control Room.

  • Inform Travel Desk in case Driver violating the roistered route
  • Please take care of your personal belongings, before getting down the vehicle. You will be responsible  for any such loses.
  • Female employees are informed, in advance, about the driver’s name, cab number and the time of her  pick-up and drop.

DONT’S

  • Do not Board the cab in case you are travelling between 2000 hrs & 0600 hrs in case of no security  guard or male associate is present in the cab. Ask Admin or travel desk for Company Security escort.
  • Do not permit drivers to enter the residential building of any employee.
  • Do not force driver to take a halt in between for withdrawing cash from ATM, eating etc while  travelling.
  • Do not display valuables/currency in the cab.
  • Do not have personal conversations within earshot of the driver.
  • Female employees must not sit in the front seat of the vehicle.
  • Do not instruct or ask the Driver for unexpected employee pickup in the cab.
  • Do not smoke or chew tobacco products such as pan masala, Guthkas, inside the vehicle nor stop the  vehicles to purchase or consume any such products.

Do not attempt to board any vehicle headed in the direction of your residence if you are not roistered.  You will be asked to disembark.
